Editorial design, "Color Exploration" Kinfolk Magazine spreads, 2024
This editorial project delves into the exploration of color through the lens of Kinfolk’s minimalistic and serene visual language. The project concluded the end of a color theory course I attended as part of my BA from the Kolding School of Design. It was inspired by the timeless aesthetics of Kinfolk magazine and the design emphasizes clean layouts, generous white space, and captivating photography to create a calm and inviting reader experience.
The project seeks to convey the interplay between nature and design, showcasing gradients, sky tones, and soft transitions that evoke feelings of tranquility. The spreads feature subtle typography that complements the imagery without overpowering it, reinforcing the balance between text and visuals.
